THE CHALLENGE

A Great Property
Without A Clear Story

El Chalet already had many of the ingredients guests look for: mountain views, outdoor spaces, comfortable accommodations, and a peaceful setting.

The challenge was not the property itself.

The challenge was how the experience was being communicated before guests arrived.

While the property offered a unique atmosphere, much of that feeling was not consistently reflected across photography, website presentation,
listing structure, and guest expectations.

Guests could see the features.

They could not always see the experience.

The goal was not to change the property.
The goal was to change how guests perceived it.

BEFORE & AFTER

What Guests Saw Before & After

Before repositioning, El Chalet was mostly presented through rooms, amenities, and functional descriptions. Those details mattered, but they did not fully communicate the atmosphere, guest experience,
and emotional appeal that made the property different.

Before Analysis

What The Listing Communicated

✓ Guests could see

• House
• Living room
• Bedrooms
• Amenities
• Functional details

⚠ What was less clear

• Mountain atmosphere
• Outdoor lifestyle
• Sense of place
• Emotional connection
• Guest experience

The property already offered a memorable stay. The challenge was helping guests understand that before they arrived.

To create a stronger first impression, the listing and image sequence were repositioned around the experience.

What Changed

Title
From
Casa El Chalet – House With Mountain & City View
To
New Mountain Escape | Panoramic San Juan Views

Image Sequence
Views, atmosphere, and outdoor living moved to the front of the guest experience.

Positioning
The listing shifted from describing the property to communicating what it feels like to stay there.

THE STRATEGY

Beyond The Photography

Rather than changing the property itself, the focus was on creating a clearer story and a more consistent guest experience across every touchpoint.

Photography

Images were reorganized around atmosphere, views, outdoor living, and guest experience rather than room-by-room documentation.

Positioning

Messaging shifted from amenities and features toward experience, expectations, and emotional connection.

Website

A dedicated website was created to reinforce the experience beyond the Airbnb listing and provide guests with a richer understanding of the property.

Listing Alignment

Photography, website, listing structure, and guest communication were aligned into one consistent guest experience.

THE WEBSITE

Extending The Experience Beyond Airbnb

Airbnb remained the primary booking platform, but the website created a place where guests could better understand the property, the atmosphere, and what a stay at El Chalet actually felt like.

WEBSITE ANALYSIS

What The Website Added

The Airbnb listing explained what the property offered.

The website explained what it felt like to stay there.

Instead of focusing only on rooms and amenities, the website expanded the guest experience through atmosphere, location storytelling, outdoor living, local exploration, and arrival expectations.

Guests could begin understanding the experience long before they arrived.

Experience

Guests could explore the atmosphere, outdoor spaces, and slower pace of life that made El Chalet unique.

Location

The website transformed location from a map pin into a positioning advantage, helping guests understand the property’s relationship to San Juan and the surrounding mountains.

Guest Journey

Photography, messaging, website content, and guest communication worked together to create a more consistent experience from first click to arrival.

Guests also had a place outside Airbnb to return to after booking, helping reduce uncertainty,
and creating a more consistent experience leading up to arrival.

THE SYSTEM

Creating A More Consistent Guest Journey

Guests don’t experience a property through a single photograph, website page, or message. They experience it through every interaction leading up to arrival.

Airbnb Listing

First impression.

Introduced the property and generated bookings.

Website

Expanded the story.

Helped guests understand the atmosphere and experience.

Guest Communication

Reinforced expectations.

Provided consistency between booking and arrival.

Arrival Experience

Matched what guests had already been promised.

Created a smoother and more memorable stay.

Rather than treating photography, websites, listings, and guest communication as separate projects,
they were aligned into a single guest journey designed to create consistency from first click to arrival.

The goal wasn’t a better website or better photographs.
The goal was a better guest experience.
